After nearly a decade of rumors and speculation, Apple's finally unveiled the iPad. Apple says there's room for a third device between the smartphone and the laptop, and that it has to be better at tasks like browsing, email, photos, e-books, and videos than both -- netbooks, says Steve, "aren't better at anything." It has a large touchscreen keyboard.

Appcelerator, which is a company that makes a developer tool/platform for developing native mobile and desktop apps by using HTML, Javascript, and its own API library, tonight is announcing Apple Tablet support and has also taken a poll of its 18,000 developers and found that 90% of its developers said they plan to build a Tablet application over the coming year. Also that most of its developers have already put Apple Tablet development behind iPhone and Android platform, but ahead of Blackberry, Palm Pre, Windows Mobile, and Symbian.

After weeks of hype and hoopla about Apple's event that was suppose to be held on January 26, the company has finally confirmed that the event will be hosted on January 27. Via an invite mailer, Apple has conveyed that it will announce its "latest creation" at the Yerba Buena Center of Arts Theater in San Franscisco. Most of the people I have met who are new to iPhone always assume that the iPhone can only run a single app each time. Well, that is not entirely true, you are able to do certain multitasking on your iPhone.
